The turmoil surrounding our federal election has subsided and Canadians now have a Liberal minority government. This means, at least for the time being, home buyers and sellers shouldn’t expect any changes to the current mortgage qualification requirements.
This leads me to believe that Sunshine Coasters will continue to see a buyers’ market into summer 2020 followed by balanced conditions until spring 2021.
Despite the uncertainty that accompanies an election and our soft real estate market, demand for Sunshine Coast real estate still exists. Buyers are still out there and are even willing to bid over asking, provided they see value in the listed property.
